The one-time Ijebu Man of the year award winner, Dr Kenny Bello has called on both christian and Muslim faithful to embrace peace, love and unity as traditional religious worshippers celebrate this year’s “ISESE DAY”.
Bello, in his message made available to newsmen by his Media Office, highlighted that traditional religious worshippers should not be seen or categorized as non-believers by other religions, but rather be seen as their traditional way and belief of reaching out or rather praying to God (Eledumare in their admonition) as our creator.
He applauded Gov Dapo Abiodun for declaring Monday 21st August, 2023 as work-free day for workers in Ogun State to commemorate this year’s ISESE DAY celebration.
Isese Day is set aside by traditional religious worshippers to celebrate Yoruba culture and traditions.
While wishing the traditional religious worshippers a wonderful “Isese Day” celebration, Dr Kenny Bello charged them to pray for the country to overcome the socio-economic challenges confronting it.
He, however, expressed optimism that the country will regain its position in the comity of the nations, calling on people not be wary, but trudge on.
“In Ogun State, I want to enjoin my people to engage in activities that can promote and secure a serene society.
Let us use this opportunity Isese Day celebration to show love to our neighbors”, he concluded.
