The APC Ogun Waterside General Elections Campaign Committee headed by Hon. Abiodun Abudu Balogun “Action” met on Saturday 21st of January 2023 at the Party Secretariat in Abigi, as a follow-up on the party Strategic meetings towards the victory for all APC Candidates in the forthcoming Elections.
At the general meeting of all different Committee Members of APC leaders across board. The party charged all leaders and members to work assiduously for the victory of all APC Candidates at the Polls.
The Mobilization Committee headed by Alhaji (Hon.) Olatunde Rufai (Commissioner IV LGSC) disbursed a sum of #500,000 i.e. #50,000 each to all the ten (10) Ward Chairmen of APC to provide for refreshmemt for Party members at their Weekly Meetings to complement the one sent by the Governor to all the Wards recently.
The Campaign Committee also resolved to step up their Ward to Ward fact finding mission and conflict resolution drive to another three Wards to build on the success achieved with the first 3 Wards.
Otunba Segun Ojurongbe from Ilushin/Lukogbe Ward donated a sum of #250,000 as contribution to the Campaign fund, and also presented Campaign materials to support the House of Assembly Candidate, Rt. Hon. Akeem Balogun (Baloo Spero). This gesture was applauded by all the Committee Members.
The Campaign Committee also reviewed all the 10 Wards to identify peculiar issues and challenges of all the Wards to ensure adequate preparation for the party’s victory at the general election.
The Media Wing of the Campaign Committee was strengthened and tasked to be focused and to be prepared for the challenges ahead.
The party appreciated those that had redeemed their pledge in contribution towards the party success and charged those that are yet to fulfill theirs to do so promptly.
Worthy of mention is the Presentation of Cash Gift items to 3 people of Ogun Waterside origin, by the party Senatorial Candidate His Excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD), through the Gateway Movement Coordinator in Ogun Waterside Hon. Musa Moruf. The gift was delivered to the beneficiaries by the LG Party Chairman, Alhaji Abiola Logere. The beneficiaries of the largesse are Mrs Abo Agnes Taiwo (mother of triplets), Mr Solomon Osinowo (an amputee) and Mr Saibu Taiwo (as support after the end of his scholarship scheme earlier enjoyed). Mr Saibu was also promised a job placement when OGD resume as Senator of the Federal Republic.
Appointment Letters from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) were equally presented to all Social Investment Officer Beneficiaries by the LG Executive Chairman, Hon. Mudashiru Adekunle.
A leaflet of the Comprehensive Projects executed by APC led Government of Prince Dapo Abiodun Mfr (Executive Governor of Ogun State), the Local Government and all the intervention Projects of Rt. Hon. Akeem Balogun (Deputy Speaker OGHA) were distributed to all Ward Chairmen, this was sponsored by Hon. Abiodun Abudu Balogun “Action” (a former House of Reps Member, and former Commissioner for Environment)
Finally, all party faithful were enjoined to work tirelessly for the victory of the party to continue to enjoy good government and that more goodies awaits all in the next dispensation.
