The family of Late Sir Michael Agbolade Otedola, a former Governor of Lagos State organises a week Long Free Health Mission for the entire people of Eredo, Epe, Ikosi-Ejirin and Ibeju Lekki, to commemorate the 5th year remembrance of the Odoragunshin born, philanthropist.
Mrs. Shiro Abosede who spoke on behalf of the family disclosed that it becomes imperative to celebrate a man who lived his entire life for the selfless services to mankind. The Free Health Mission which commenced on Monday 29th April will last till Friday 3rd May, 2019. It was targeted at Children, Adult and Aged people with various health challenges ranging from Eye treatment, Temperature, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose and General Check ups.
The mission holding at the premises of R. C. M. Primary School, Odoragunshin is been handled by Funmi Adewole Foundation in partnership with Precious Sight Foundation, a United Kingdom registered Charity and supported by Eredo Local Council Development Area. Services available includes Free consultations & tests, Free Glasses, Free Drugs and Gift items. The Opticians, pharmacists, medical personnel in charge were drawn from United State of America.
Hon. Adeniyi Saliu, the Executive Chairman, Eredo Local Council Development Area, represented by Dr. Ayegbusi Oluwabunmi, the Medical Officer of Health for Eredo Local Council Development Area, said Eredo is proud to partner Otedola’s family on this Free Health Mission to Celebrate the 5th year of the demise of our father, Son, a philanthropist and a former Governor of Lagos State, Late Sir Michael Agbolade Otedola says his legacies are unprecedented in the entire State. He stated that the initiative was a world class as been put together by organisers of the programme. Also Dr. Ayeola, the Medical Officer of Health Epe Local Government lauds the initiative by the organisers for celebrating a unique man in a unique way.
The One (1) week long programmes which commenced on Monday 29th April, will end with a Thanksgiving Service at St. Peters Catholic Church, Odoragunshin, Eredo, Epe, Lagos State, by 10:00am prompt on Sunday 5th May, 2019.
It would be recalled that Late Sir Michael Agbolade Otedola, was the father of the Nigerian Business Mogul Mr. Femi Otedola, CEO Forte Oil . The former Governor of Lagos State died on 5th May, 2014, aged 87 years.
