Two earthquakes hit Indonesia’s Kepulauan Batu World news

Two earthquakes with a magnitude of 6 struck Kepulauan Batu, Indonesia, in the early hours of Sunday, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The earthquakes struck at a depth of 43 km and 40 km each.

The first earthquake, recorded by EMSC at a magnitude of 6.1 hit Kepulauan Batu early on Sunday, followed by another 5.8 earthquake a few hours later.

The first quake was at a depth of 43 km (26.72 miles) while the second was at 40 km (24.85 miles), EMSC said.
