The Titanic submarine that went missing has oxygen supplies until Thursday World news

The missing Titanic submersible – which carried five people to the site of the Titanic wreck off the coast of Canada – disappeared in the North Atlantic Ocean on Sunday. According to the US Coast Guard, the submersible has an oxygen supply that can last Thursday Eastern Time if it is still intact. Reportedly, the ship usually has four days of emergency oxygen for a crew of five, including the pilot.
Addressing a press conference, the US coast guard said the ship was designed with 96 hours of standby power in case of an emergency on board. “…And so we expect there to be somewhere between 70 to 96 full hours at this point,” said Rear Admiral John Mauger, Commander of the First Coast Guard District.
According to Mauger, an air and sea search for missing divers in a trip to see the wreck of the Titanic is now underway as well, AFP said. “In the last three or four hours, we have flown several planes over the site looking for any signs of surfacing of the submersible,” he said.
When did the ship start its journey?
The submarine named ‘Titan’ is owned by OceanGate company. He started his journey on June 18 (Sunday morning). According to reports, the ship lost contact with the Polar Prince – the support vessel – after about an hour and 45 minutes into its launch.
Who is in the car?
A total of four passengers and a pilot were aboard the 22-foot-long Titanic that went missing. British billionaire Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, and his son Suleman were among the five people on board, as were their families. Reportedly, the founder and CEO of the OceanGate service company Stockton Rush was also on the missing ship.
