Council of Yoruba Elders(CYE) has hailed United Kingdom – based Yoruba son and author, Dr. Gbenga Fagborun, for his latest published book on Yoruba language.
Reckoning the book as a work of epoch in the educational development of not only the Yoruba people but the entire global educational system, Taiwo expressed the confidence that when the quest for a Yoruba regional autonomy becomes a reality, it will be incorporated into the syllabi of all educational institutions across the Yoruba region.
The CYE letter of felicitation on Fagborun’s epochal book seen by The Daily Crucible states:
“We are writing this message of felicitation to you on behalf of the Council of Yoruba Elders (CYE) and the entire Yoruba worldwide.
“We are in possession of your newly published 661-page book entitled, DIKISANNARI YORUBA ALAWORAN.
“It is the dictionary translating Yoruba lexicon to comprehensible simplification.
“When we went through the book, we discovered it to be a work of epoch in the educational development of not only the Yoruba people but the entire global educational system.
“This is a book that should be made compulsory for use by all learners of Yoruba language from primary schools to the maximum levels of education across the world by all who have things in relation with Yoruba language.
“Our pledge, therefore, is that when God eventually grants our prayer of quest for our Yoruba regional autonomy soon as we so expect it, this book shall be incorporated into the syllabi of all educational institutions across the Yoruba region for the enhancement of Yoruba language advancement.”
