Indeed the life and times of the late wife of the Founder of Victory Life Bible Church International, Reverend Fola Achudume can be likened to a rose flower that can never wither because it continues to blossom.
It is therefore no surprise that the 6th edition of the Female Ministers Conference, an offshoot of Royal Ladies International, which is the brainchild of the late VLBC Lead Pastor centered around her at the highbrow Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos this Saturday.
RFA’s hubby, Apostle Lawrence Achudume while extolling the virtues of his late better-half said that his wife’s vision was to empower and encourage women, as well as giving them a voice, and promised to do everything possible to sustain her legacy.
“My wife was so passionate about women, always holding forth for them, became their voice and it behoves on us to see to it that her legacy is sustained”.
Apostle Achudume revealed that his late wife had actually planned this conference before her demise, adding that he is very gladdening to see it become a reality.
“My late wife had actually planned this conference before God called her, and we vowed to see that it came out the way she would have wanted it.”
The VLBC Founder profusely thanked the conference speakers and attendees for turning up, saying that their inputs have been very instrumental to the successes recorded in the last 20 years that the conference has been holding.
He concluded that her dream of empowering women will transcend generations, as people from all walks of life have continued to celebrate her.
Apostle Achudume also thanked Pastor Yemisi Matthew Ashimolowo describing her as one of the invaluable gifts to their family.
Pastor Mrs.Toyin Poju Oyemade of Covenant Christian Centre in her presentation titled “Power Of Love” harped on the importance of love in the ministry.
She explained that Love is the highest form of devotion, with full reverence to God whose love remains total and unconditional.
“The real impact of ministering is not what you do outside, it’s our daily devotional to God and what we give, not by what we do.”
She called on the gathering to strengthen their relationship with God, submitting that many invest in ministry because of expectations, not because of love.
Contributing, Pastor Yemisi Matthew Ashimolowo of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) London, while speaking on the theme of the conference “Evolve: Sharpening Our Living Edge.”, said people need to change and move, as things should not remain the same.
She underscored the importance of self-knowledge, vision, information, strategy, excellence and faith as essential forces for effective ministry.
“You need to know who you are in God, you don’t want to be who others”.
Also, Sola Adesakin, a Chartered Accountant, x-rayed the topic “Wealth Creation The Bible Way”, making references as regards Key principles from 2 Kings 4, urging people to teach others not just the way of God but the methods of God noting that Jesus embodies provision.
Adesakin said expressing needs, valuing Collaboration, organizing and taking action, leveraging resources, visualizing goals and empowering others remain sacrosanct.
Earlier in a welcome address, Engineer Bola Adeoye, Global Team Leader, Royal Ladies International, celebrated the late Reverend Fola Achudume’s legacy describing her as a woman of virtue who remained a beacon of hope to millions of children, youth, adults, women and widows, adding that she had already built an indelible spot in their hearts.
Pastor Esther Akinsiun, a Gospel Artiste, said that the late RFA always emphasised that the call of God upon our lives was for us to excel in life.
The well attended conference witnessed a remarkable testimony with the announcement of the birth of a miracle baby by Apostle Lawrence Achudume which was conceived through prayers at the previous year’s meeting.
The very heartwarming news as captured by Dr Toyin Banjo of Victory Life Bible Church International, London Branch, drummed home RFA’s impact and the power of faith.
The event also had in attendance Female Ministers from Nigeria, London, and America.
