Abiodun To Commission School Hall Donated By St Barnabas Old Pupils In Ogun

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun is to commission an ultra modern hall built and donated by some old pupils of Saint Barnabas Primary School, Okun – Owa in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

In a statement made by the President of the Old Pupils Association of the school, Chief Sina Ogunbambo,the hall was built by 14 pupils, including their friends,to support the efforts of the State Government in its drive to continue to give quality education and infrastructures in Ogun State.

According to him “Some of us made a joint effort to give back to the Government and society that made us enjoy good elementary education, the foundation that has produced eminent personalities who are now movers and shakers of the society ”

He added ” The vogue is for old students of secondary schools to give back to the society through philanthropic gestures but we want to change that story and begin from the cradle, the foundation ”
The brand new hall has a capacity to accommodate 500 people comfortably and is expected to provide the pupils the opportunity of having their literary and debating activities, drama, examination, morning assemblies and other social activities at their level.

The Executive Chairman of SUBEB in Ogun State, Dr Femi Majekodunmi, the Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Honourable Shuaib Ladejobi, other top Government officials, Royal Fathers, community leaders and the Clergy are expected at the occasion.
