Adhere Strictly To All Virtues Of Good Governance, NACOMYO Tells OGSG
The National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) Ogun State Chapter, has tasked the present administration in the State to adhere strictly to all virtues of good governance, equity, sincerity of purpose and embark on people oriented programmes that would take the State to an enviable height.
The State Coordinator of NACOMYO, Dr. Soliudeen Amolegbe, gave the charge when he led members of the Council on a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako- Oyedele in her office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
”I want to commend the State government for declaring state of emergency in the education sector, it was a right step in the right direction and all hands must be on deck towards revamping the decadence in the sector”
”We want the current administration to pay more attention to the security of lives and property of the people, so as to rid the State of nefarious acts of kidnapping, ethnic crisis, crimes and other forms of violence that could threaten the safety of residents”
He therefore called on Dapo Abiodun to engage technocrats and professionals in the State”
The coordinator pledged its Council’s support for a successful and peaceful administration.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor assured of government’s commitment to equity and fairness in all appointments, assuring that the dividend of democracy would cut across and all areas would be touched positively.
“Dapo Abiodun is very passionate about education, we have gone round to identify various challenges in the sector and would prefer solutions to them accordingly. Our government will surely deliver on our promises to the good people of Ogun and they will not be disappointed”
‘’We will also look into the lack of Islamic and Arabic teachers in schools, as well as ensure that youths in the State are better represented in government”
