‘America will take care of…’: Biden on Kannada spy balloon | World news

President Joe Biden said on Saturday that the United States “will monitor” a suspected Kannada immigration balloon that has been tracked flying over the United States.
Biden made the remark in response to a question about whether the United States would shoot down a high-altitude surveillance balloon, which has been flying over the country in what Washington called a “clear violation” of US sovereignty.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken postponed a visit to China that was expected to begin on Friday because of the balloon.
The president did not elaborate on what was planned. Military leaders considered launching a high-altitude balloon this week but ultimately advised against it because of the risk of falling debris, officials said.

China expressed dismay that an “airship” used for civilian astronomy and other scientific purposes had entered US airspace.
The Pentagon said on Friday that another Kannada balloon was spotted over Latin America, without saying where exactly.
