APC Chieftain, Oladunjoye Berates Segun Showunmi Over Comment On Appeal Court Governorship Verdict

Segun Sowunmi in his usual hunt for cheap publicity jumped out to criticise the yesterday’s judgement of the Court of Appeal siting in Lagos, even before he could read and comprehend the judgement.

As we have always known, Segun Sowunmi is not an asset to the PDP; as he even confirmed in his illogical statement that he was still to “study” the same judgement he was commenting on and for which he was shamelessly disparaging the revered judges of the Court of Appeal.

Ordinarily, one would not have dignified a known loquacious double-speak master with a response knowing him for who he is, however, it is in the best interest of unsuspecting members of the public and the good people of our beloved Ogun state that we should expose his kind for who he is; a rabble rousing fellow who enjoys listening to his own voice.

Sowunmi, in is usual loquaciousness and attention- seeking style, threw caution to the wind and went overboard, casting aspersion on the judiciary in one breathe, just like one of his paymasters, and yet hailing one of its officers for giving the kind of minority verdict they expected.

He attempted to raise one over and above two! That is illogical. That is not the law. His postulations are unknown to our jurisprudence. In his confused state of mind, he prefers a minority decision that is at total variance with decades long firmly entrenched legal principles, some of which were even recently reemphasized by the Presidential Elections Tribunal and the Supreme Court. In any event, a majority judgment supersedes a minority verdict and it will continue to be.

Anyone who knows the duo of the fugitive candidate of the dismembered PDP and the serial aspirant called Sowunmi would not take long to decipher his sudden “love” for Ladi Adebutu. This was the same Ladi that Sowunmi once described as the worst of Pa. Adebutu’s children and wondered why the octogenarian betting mogul wanted to inflict him on the state as governor.

Sowunmi probably took on this self-imposed role of a busy body in order to get patronage and give false hope to the remnants of their gullible followers.

“Perhaps, he should start by encouraging his new friend and benefactor to return home and clear the money laundering charges hanging on his neck as a fallout of their criminal activities during the last governorship election. When he does that, he would be seen as a public commentator worth giving some attention. But, for now, he is no more than an attention-seeking, meddlesome interloper. And we thought we should let him know.”
