Arabambi Talks Tough, Drags IPAC National Chairman, Others To Court Over Suspension
The suspended Chairman, Ogun State Chapter of Inter- Advisory Council (IPAC), Comrade Abayomi Arabambi has dragged the National Chairman of the association, Chief Peter Ameh and other national officers before Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Arabambi in a suit number FHC/AB/CS/55/2019 challenging the decision of the association to suspend him when the disciplinary committee of IPAC Ogun State was yet to be constituted.
He prayed the court to declare his suspension as unconstitutional, unlawful and void, stressing that the National Chairman and Secretary are not qualified ias disciplinary committee and such cannot validly impose any sanction against him.
But in his reaction to the originating summons, the Ogun State IPAC caretaker Secretary, Mr. Niyi Adebanjo condemned Arabambi for dragging the association to court.
Adebanjo said it was wrong for Arabambi to parade himself as the state Chairman of the association since the matter is pending in court; saying it was criminal for him to call for extended meeting and presided as principal officer.
He pointed out that, Arabambi should have allowed the caretaker committee to act without causing unnecessary rancour within the fold of the association.
He therefore called on Security agencies to caution Arabambi from parading himself as IPAC Chairman in the state.
Meanwhile, the court has adjourned the case to 27th of June, 2019.
