City Businessman, Chief Oladele Araga Shosanya Celebrates Awujale On 64th Coronation Anniversary

United Kingdom based businessman who doubles as the Mayegun of Irewon Kingdom and the Baba Egbe, Obaneye Omooba Obinrin Akile Ijebu, Chief Oladele Araga Shosanya has rejoiced with the Paramount ruler and Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona on his 64th coronation anniversary.

In a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Mayegun Shosanya described the monarch as a charismatic leader, an influential traditional ruler and social crusader whose reign has witnessed an unprecedented achievement and monumental feats in the history of Ijebuland.

Oba Adetona, one of the world longest reigning paramount monarchs was officially crowned as the paramount ruler and Awujale of Ijebuland on April 2, 1960.

“May I also join other well-meaning people beyond the shores of Nigeria, most especially all sons and daughters of Ijebuland to celebrate our father, leader and the custodian of Ijebu culture and tradition as clocked 64 years on the throne of his forefathers today,

Our baba’s reign has brough remarkable success to our land. His entrepreneurial spirit, his objectivity and reliability as a leader as been second to none. We can only wish our baba more sound health, long life and wisdom as he continues to place Ijebuland on the world map”
