Colleague Mocks Ex-Ogun Speaker, Adekumbi, Says He’s The Longest Selfish Assembly Speaker
DAMILOLA ADELESI, ABEOKUTA
Former Majority Leader of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Yinka Mafe has berated the immediate past Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekumbi, describing him as the “longest selfish Assembly Speaker” in the history of Ogun State.
Hon Yinka Mafe took to a Whatsapp loop tagged ‘Ogun Governance Focus’ to ridicule the outgone Speaker, who according to him is a selfish speaker of all time.
Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekumbi led assembly had earlier suspended the Ogun Assembly Majority Leader, suspended LGs/LCDAs Chairmen, and rescinded all the appointments done by Ex-governor Ibikunle Amosun, the Ex-governor whom Adekumbi has maintained 8-years relationship without hiccup.
Adekumbi, who bowed out of the Ogun State House of Assembly today, has been accused of being a rubberstamp to all decisions of Ex-governor Ibikunle Amosun. Investigations revealed Ex-governor Amosun and Ex-Speaker Adekumbi maintained 8-years unbroken relationship, which has never happened in the history of Ogun state.
However, critics have accused the Ex-speaker of not meaning well for the good people of Ogun state, but his personal gains. Allegedly, one Adetomiwa Adetilewa has accused the speaker of requesting the sum of 20million naira from the new governor of Ogun state, in preparation for Monday’s inauguration of the new state legislative arm.
Efforts made at reaching the Ex-Speaker and his spokesperson as at the time of filing this report remains futile, as calls were not answered, and messages not replied.
