The Dapo Abiodun Disciples (DAD), Ijebu East Local Government, Ogun State, have passed a vote of confidence and solidarity on the Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi.
In a statement after its meeting in Ijebu Itele, Ogun State on Sunday, the body said Talabi has “brought life and simplicity to the office of the SSG that used to be difficult to access due to bottle-neck beaurecracy, noting that under Talabi the office of the SSG has become more accessible and available despite his herculean tasks and very tight schedules”.
The statement signed by Hon. Fasheyi Akindele and Hon. (Miss) Elizabeth Adetutu Oyesanya, Coordinator and Secretary respectively, reads further:
“We are in solidarity with the scribe to Ogun State Government despite the present challenges, which we strongly believe to be the handiwork of the enemies of the state wanting to serve as a distraction to the committed and dedicated Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
“We commend the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi for bringing life and simplicity to the office of the SSG that used to be difficult to access due to bottle neck/beaurecracy. The office of the SSG has become more accessible and available despite his herculean tasks.
“While we are not preemptive of the ongoing investigation into false claims sponsored by political jobbers, however, we have confidence in Mr. Talabi, as a humane, hardworking, humble and God-fearing personality who has brought stability to the current administration in the state with his wealth of experience.
“We trust in his ability and commitment to the welfare of his people as events have shown that he is a supporter of dreams, a promoter of peace and equity and would therefore not be found mingling in whatever may tannish his golden image.
“Mr Talabi, known for using his personal funds for helping humanity before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, within and outside the government, has a track record, which is speaking for him and it is as a result of this and many more that we have openly pledge our solidarity and to assure him of our support and prayers at all times.
“We want to charge him to remain focused and continue to serve Ogun State with vigour and commitment, which he is renowned for”, the statement added.
