Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation FYIF, a non political, non governmental organization based in Ilaro Yewaland has donated therapeutic mattresses to Ilara Primary Health Centre and gave widows in Imeko and Idofa support Grant for business purposes.
The Imeko, Idofa, Ilara humanitarian outreach was organized in conjunction with the Association of Ogun State Indigenes in Ireland (AOSII) and has the support of Echoes International, Princess Pamela Royal Foundation (PPRF), Chief Babatunde Justus Ajibode CEO of BAJ Global Media, Gateway Times Nigeria, Razortimes and other good people who share the vision of Chief (Princess) Adeyinka Adedokun the founder and President.
The Imeko, Idofa, Ilara Humanitarian outreach is in continuation of the NGO’s contributions to growth and development in Yewaland that has taken it to three town each in Yewa South, Yewa North, Ado Odo Odo and Ipokia Local Government Areas.and now Imeko Afon.
Founded eight years ago and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation is committed to complimenting the efforts of of community leaders in bringing succor to the good People of Yewaland.
The charity organization donated mattresses to Ilara Primary Health Centre to boost mother and child healthcare delivery in Ilara and environs as a way of stemming the tide of child and maternal mortality in Yewaland.
It will be recalled that the Chief (Princess) Adeyinka Adedokun founded non governmental organization has done same in Sawonjo, Agbon Ojodu, Igbesa to mention few Yewa towns where the foundation has donated beddings to encourage the patronage of primary health care centres with qualified medical personnel for pre, ante and post natal care by pregnant women and nursing mothers in Yewaland.
In Imeko and Idofa, widows were empowered with support grant to plough into trading or farming in order to earn a living that will help them in keeping body and soul together in the absence of their breadwinners. Each beneficiary received a certificate certifying them as a beneficiary of the FYIF support grant.
In Imeko and Idofa, a seasoned educationist, Mr Olusola Ojekunle delivered business talk for the beneficiaries of the support grant on how best they can grow the grant to keep yielding returns, in Ilara, an On Air Personality, Lydia Motunrayo Fagbenro delivered a talk on the importance of seeking heath care from certified medical centres.
Before Imeko and Idofa, Agbara, Ikogbo, Madoga, Tongeji Island, Ipokia, Ayetoro, have played host to Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation’s Support Grant for Widows.
The Onimeko of Imeko, Yewa, Oba Benjamin Olanite and Onidofa of Idofa Yewa, Oba David Adeyanju applauded Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation for the support grant for the widows in their respective domains and prayed for the organization and all the donors that made the outreach to Imeko and Afon possible.
Similarly, the Otunba of Ilara, Chief Theophilus Ogunrinde,.who is the regent of the international border town gave kudos to Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation and all donors behind the humanitarian outreach, he prayed for their progress and well-being.
Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation presented plaques of awards of of appreciation to Oba Benjamin Olanite the Onimeko of Imeko, Oba David Adeyanju the Onidofa of Idofa and the Regent of Ilara, Otunba Theophilus Ogunrinde in appreciation of their quality leadership style that has guaranteed sustainable peace and progress in their respective domains.
Kehinde Akinlade, who led the Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation’s team of volunteers said “the responsibilities of the government are more than the scarce resources to meet ends, that makes it important for individuals, organizations to rise up and contribute to growth in their immediate communities or areas of coverage”
He added that the outreach is in two parts “the donation of therapeutic mattresses in Ilara and the support grants for widows in Imeko and Idofa are part one. The other part is support for selected students in higher institutions of learning which will take place in April 18 as part of the activities for the celebration of the business venture, 3ace Boutique of the founder of Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation, Chief (Princess) Adedokun in Ilaro”.
The Task Team Leader, Kehinde Akinlade emphasised that Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation is a member of Community of Practice of Ogun Civic Space (CoP) that is committed to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Goals 1 No Poverty, Goal 2 Zero Hunger, Goal 4 Quality Education, Goal 5 Gender Equality, in particular.
Kehinde Akinlade reiterated the commitment of Faces of Yewa Indigenes Foundation to the continued support for growth and development across Yewaland through its humble little contributions and with continued support of donors.
The NGO through Kehinde Akinlade poured encomium on all those that partnered with it in making the Imeko, Idofa, Ilara Humanitarian Outreach possible with different levels of support.
