Two persons yesterday breathed their last during a fatal accident involving a truck and Bajaj motorcycle opposite Egba high school, Obantoko, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Gatewaytimes gathered that the truck with the registration number SRA 757xA and crushed the deceased to death.
The spokesperson, Traffic, compliance and enforcement Corps, Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi disclosed this to news men in Abeokuta.
He maintained that the accident was caused by wrongful overtaking by the motorcycle rider.
According to him, five people were involved in the accident butbtwo persons who were passengers on the motorcycle died on the spot.
In a n interview with an eyewitness confirmed that the motorcyclist overtook wrongly and rammed into a moving truck. The motorcycle and the truck were moving outward Obantoko towards Moore junction.
According to him, the truck driver in an attempt to avoid a pothole swerved to the left, not knowing that the Okada rider was fast approaching from the rear before it rammed into the truck
It was gathered that the corpses of the dead had been deposited at the morgue of general hospital, Ijaye in Abeokuta.
