Akarigbo Drums Support For Alma Mater

 The Conference of Old Students/Alumni Associations across the Western Nigeria has been urged to always contribute their quota towards the development of their various schools, to facilitate infrastructural development.

          The Akarigbo and Paramont ruler of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Ajayi who made this call when the executive members of the Association in Ogun State paid a courtesy call to his Palace, pledged his unflinching support for the conference, saying Government cannot do it alone, hence the need for the Alumni to contribute their quota towards the provision of basic facilities.

          The Monarch while commending the initiative of the conference for its effort at reaching out to her Alma mater, acknowledged that most development seen in some public schools across the State were carried out by the Old Student Association, urging them to keep the flag flying and make the Alma Mater Day celebration vibrant in all the divisions of the State.

          Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Conference, Prof. Delana Adenekan stated that the visit was to inform the Royal Father about the existence of the conference and its activities, explaining that the conference was inaugurated in December 2017, while the 2019 anniversary was carried out in the three Senatorial Districts, with emphasis on primary schools.

          The Chairman expressed appreciation to the Royal Father for his supports and blessings, promising that subsequent anniversary would be celebrated in the four division of the State as suggested by the Monarch.
