From the field: Finding sanctuary for animals in Ukraine

Young people in the city of Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine, are collaborating with the UPSHIFT program, run by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), to take care of animals that have been evacuated from dangerous areas.

Over 300 young people have joined the initiative to raise abandoned pets, especially cats and dogs, and which hopes to encourage people to care about animals.
