The goal is to improve “ocean literacy”, according to the UN Organization for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea Office of Legal Affairs (DOALOS), which organized the event.
Along with information on ocean health and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the event also aims to raise the profile of SDG 14 on the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas, and water resources – which has attracted investment less than any. of the 17 Goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
