The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has recently announced that his administration has successfully disbursed more than N112 billion in Pensions and Gratuities to retired government officials at both the State and Local Government levels. This momentous achievement was highlighted during the swearing-in ceremony of four new Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service, which took place at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Governor Abiodun emphasized his unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of workers in the State. He further reiterated his administration’s dedication to building upon the strong foundation laid in the past four years. The selection process for the Permanent Secretaries was meticulously conducted based on seniority, merit, and the overall interest of the people of the State.
In his address, the Governor stressed the importance of skill, experience, and honesty in public service. He encouraged the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries to foster a close and collaborative working relationship with their Commissioners. Governor Abiodun went further to express his sincere belief that by doing so, the set objectives of the State would be achieved.
It is worth noting that our Government has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of workers through the prompt payment of various allowances, including transport and peculiar allowance, as well as addressing outstanding allowances inherited from the previous administration.

These exceptional individuals are Mrs. Roseline Jacob, Mr. Samuel Oyeleye, Mrs. Kehinde Akinola, and Mr. Oladipupo Ogunfowora.
