One of the emerging age-groups in Ijebuland, the Egbe Obaneye Okunrin Akile is to expand its tentacles by honouring key members who have played vital roles in making the group to stand out in the comity of Regberegbes.
The outstanding members to be honoured, according to the group headed by Giwa Oluseye Yusuf ‘have contributed to the socio-economic development of Obaneye Okunrin Akile Ijebu, Ijebuland in general’.
Giwa Yusuf added that the new chieftaincy holders have also contributed immensely to the development, sustenaise and promotion of the cheriched cultural heritage of the Ijebu nation.
Those to be confered with the new chieftaincy titles are Neye Amoo Wande (Aremo), Neye Olawale Badmus (Apagunpote), Neye Atobatele Aliu Abass (Seriki) and Neye Banjo Abiodun (Oluomo) of the age-group respectively.
Others are Ogunwo Adebowale (Borokini), Kukoyi Adedeji (Kakanfo) and Aroworade Femi (Fiwagboye).
The conferment ceremony according to a reliable source close to the group will hold in few days time.
