I’ll Submit Myself To The Will of The People Says Dapo Abiodun

The Ogun State governor-elect, prince Dapo Abiodun has vowed to be submissive, responsive and accountable to the people of Ogun State, saying that his administration will always welcome they yearnings of the people
He also said that he will have no reasons to change to disappoint the people.
Abiodun stated this on Thursday during an inauguration lecture titled ”Good Governance and Public Administration” held at the cultural center, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He also said that his administration is committed to providing a focused and good governance in Ogun State.
”It is yet another demonstration of our commitment to providing a focused and good governance and to make sure the people of Ogun State participate in my administration”
”I will submit my self to the will of the people, I invest in human capital, I will remain humble, if it has gotten me far, I have no reasons to change”
”There are many challenges confronting our nation and our dear State, how ever, there seemed to be consensus that with good governance, some of these challenges will be significantly addressed if not totally eliminated”
”We will be conscious oriented, we will be responsive, we will be equitable, inclusive, we will be effective and efficient, we will follow the rules of laws and we will be participatory”
He explained that during his campaign he has seen the abundant natural endowment and vibrant youths population and he has felt the enterprises spirit of the people, adding that the deplorable conditions of infrastructure in the State has worsen the living conditions, saying that it was unmistakable disconnect between government and the people.
”The wide gap between the potentials and realities on ground showed that there is a missing factor in the catalyst and an enabler, I have no doubt that the missing link is good governance”
”Sequel to the electoral victory, we took three major steps as part of the preparations of the incoming administration to match actions with words in determination to realise the mission to provide good governance.
”First, we set up the Economic Transition Committee and work group to further elaborate on building out future together agenda and provide a road map that identifies specific initiatives and timelines in bukets of a 100 days short medium and long terms”
”Inaddition we invited a other major politic parties and co- contestants for the gubernatorial seat to ensure inclusiveness and Enrique prices”
”I am delighted to note that the preliminary reports of the workgroups received about a week ago has confirmed my belief that the knowledge, wisdom and even passion to achieve good governance are in abundance across the State and the party lines in the State”
”We have collated the list of the basic needs of the people across the Stste. These included rural township and industrial roads, primary health care centers, public primary and secondary schoola with indication of their current conditions and categorising them as to the required efforts to turn them around in record time”
”The tasks ahead are daunting, the challenges are many, the resources are limited, yet, I am confident that once we have the most important currency in our people’s bank which is the trust of our people, we will be okay”
”Let me assure you that we will carefully study and stick to today’s conversations and synergize them with other suggestions such as that of the workgroups’ reports”
He therefore thanked the people Ogun State for their support and love
”I want to thank most sincerely men and women who have volunteered their time ,skills and even financial resources to serve the State through this exercise”
Meanwhile, the guest speaker of the occasion, Professor Pat Utomi urged Dapo Abiodun to tackle corruption, unemployment and security with all seriousness.
”I want to advise the governor- elect to reduce the rate of unemployment, provide quality medication, health care and constant training and retraining of civil servants”
The lecture which is part of the activities lined up for the inauguration ceremony of Abiodun has in attendance the former governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Gen. Oladipo Diya, the speaker of the house of Assembly, Hon. Suraj Adekunbi the former speaker of the house of Assembly, rt hon Titi Oseni, former deputy governor of the State, Segun Adesegun, Royal fathers and other eminent personalities
