Jack Dorsey said ‘I apologize’ amid much silence at Twitter under Elon Musk | World news
Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s founder and former CEO, on Saturday apologized to those who are currently working and have left since Elon Musk took over the microblogging site.
Amid the massive layoff at the San Francisco-based social media giant, Dorsey said he knows many are angry at him and that he is responsible for the state of the public at this time. He apologized for developing “the company too quickly”.
“People at Twitter past and present are strong and resilient. They will always find a way no matter how hard the times are. I know many are angry with me. I am responsible for why everyone is in this position: I grew the size of the company quickly. I apologize for that,” he wrote on Twitter.
He said that while he’s thankful for and loves everyone who works at Twitter, he doesn’t expect the feeling to be relatable this time or ever.

“I am grateful to, and love, everyone who has ever worked on Twitter. I didn’t expect it to be a partnership this time… or ever… and I understand. “
Under its new owner, Twitter Inc has begun laying off a large number of employees and is expected to terminate about half of the company’s workforce, according to a report by Reuters.
