A middle-aged woman has reportedly committed suicide by jumping into the Ogun river under the Lafenwa Bridge in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Gateway Times gathered from a passers-by who claimed to have witnessed the incident that who was initially moving towards Lafenwa suddenly delved into the river before she could be stopped.
Though, further information on what could have actually happened to her before taking such decision was still sketchy as at press time, some people who were seen around the scene however said her death may not be unconnected with a loan she secured from the popular “gbomulelantern” scheme.
