Mixed Feelings As Amosun Promises To Pay Outstanding Deductions To Ogun Workers tomorrow

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has promised to pay all outstanding deductions of workers, and other allowances by tomorrow.

He said that the total of t 10.8 billion will be released to clear all the payment of the outstanding deductions and other allowances to the civil servants.

The governor disclosed this while delivering his speech at this years workers day celebration at the M K O. Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He said it is in fulfilment of his promise to clear all outstanding deductions of workers before leaving office.

”All Ogun workers will begin to receive April salary payment by tomorrow which will be fully paid in net and not gross, including outstanding deductions by tomorrow but payment of leave bonuses will commence by next week”

He noted that the gratuity backlog within the period stipulated by law covering the time he is in office will be paid saying that letters for 2016 and 2017 promotion of workers have been released while the list of about 1000 newly employed workers who passed through the rigours of ASCON exams has also been released.

According to him, by the time all the outstanding payments would have been paid by tomorrow, I would not be owing any workers check off dues, salary deductions, leave bonuses and all forms of allowances as earlier promised.

He therefore thanked the Ogun state workers for their cooperation and commitment over the years.
