Nepal businessman who set himself on fire in front of parliament dies | World news

A 37-year-old man who set himself on fire in front of the Nepal Parliament a day ago has succumbed to his burn injuries, doctors from the hospital where he received treatment on Thursday.

Known as Prem Prasad Acharya, the businessman from Illam District poured diesel on himself and set himself on fire as the country’s newly elected Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal left the country. -committee on Tuesday afternoon.

“He has succumbed to burn injuries. He has suffered 80 percent burns,” Dr. Kiran Nakarmi from the hospital confirmed to ANI over phone.

A video circulating on social media in Nepal has shown that those who are there are trying to set the fire after the man set himself on fire. After the fire was put out the man was rushed to the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur.

Prem Prasad Acharya has taken to his social media accounts to post about the financial and mental damage he has been facing for years. A long post in which he spoke about his decision to end his life has been widely shared on social media.

The businessman said that the conditions were always not good for him which made him take a higher step. He also mentioned how he had made several attempts in the past as well but failed. The government has not responded to the incident.

The government has not yet made any statement in relation to the incident.

On social media, many users questioned the Prime Minister’s silence on the incident, which happened in front of him.
