The Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Oyetola Diya, has commissioned the revitalization of the Odogbolu Ultra-Modern Primary Healthcare Centre, in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Odogbolu, District 911, Nigeria.
The commissioning ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, 10th June 2025, was conducted on behalf of the Chairman by the Supervisor for Health, Medical and Environment Hon. Femi Moses Adesanya.
The revitalization project includes the complete renovation and solar electrification of the facility—an impressive gesture of community service and public health support by the Inner Wheel Club.
In her remarks, the President of the Inner Wheel Club, Dr. Esther Oshunluyi, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all present and to those who contributed to the success of the project, both directly and from afar. She gave special thanks to Hon. (Dr.) Diya for his swift and impactful support, which enabled the project’s successful completion in record time. The project is valued at over ₦8 million.
Dr. Oshunluyi outlined four key components of the club’s recent health and social intervention:
1. Provision of maternal delivery kits to pregnant women.
2. Distribution of educational materials (exercise books) to schoolchildren.
3. Comprehensive renovation of the Primary Healthcare Centre.
4. Installation of solar power systems within the healthcare premises
Representing the Executive Chairman, Hon.Femi Moses Adesanya conveyed Dr. Diya’s profound appreciation to the Inner Wheel Club for their commitment to healthcare delivery. He reaffirmed the Chairman’s unwavering passion for improving public health, evident in initiatives such as:
1. “Iwosan Tunde” medical outreach programme.
2. Recruitment of Senior Community Health Extension Workers (SCHEWs).
3. Ongoing renovation of Primary Healthcare Centres across Ibefun, Ilado, Idowa, Imodi, Ososa, and Ogbo.
He also highlighted the recent procurement of Critical medical equipments, aimed at enhancing the quality and reach of health services across the local government area.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Olusan Oluwaseun the Local Government Health Secretary commended the Inner Wheel Club for complementing the local government’s efforts in healthcare delivery. He described the project as laudable and a reflection of effective partnership for community health development. He also prayed for God’s continued blessings upon all stakeholders involved.
