OGD Mourns Late Ijebu Monarch, Oba Olaoye Abass

The former Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has commiserated with the royal family of late Ijebu monarch, Oba Olaolu Abass on the death of the traditional ruler who joined his ancestors few days back.
According to a statement issued in Abeokuta yesterday and made available to Gateway Times by Mr Ayo Giwa, media officer to the former Governor, Otunba Daniel was quoted as saying: “Oba Abass was an exceptional leader and a socialite who held executive posts in both private and public sectors before his ascendance on the throne in 1992.
His foresight and progressive ideas stood him out among his contemporaries earning him great respect from his subjects. He was a loveable personality who will be greatly missed by his people and the entire Ijebuland”, the former governor stated.
Daniel also commiserated with the people of Oke Agbo in Ijebu North local government as he beseeched Almighty Allah to grant the late Bejeroku “peaceful rest and strengthen those who shared in the grief,” the statement concluded.
