OGSG Approves 2016/2017 Promotion For Public Schools’ Staff
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has approved the release of the 2016 and 2017 promotion exercise for teaching and non-teaching staff in the State’s public primary and secondary schools, as well as the conclusion of the exercise for graduate teachers in primary schools.
According to a release signed by the Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, the Governor also directed the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), to immediately commence issuance of letters of promotion to the affected Officers.
The release noted that Governor Abiodun’s administration would continue to accord priority to the welfare of workers, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of teachers in reshaping and developing tomorrow’s leaders, in line with the premium placed on the education sector.
It added that the Governor congratulated the affected Officers on their elevation, calling on them to be more focussed and diligent in their schedule of duties.
“You should see your elevation as a call to higher responsibility and reciprocate the gesture by complementing the administration’s resolve to restore the education sector to its pride of place among comity of States, in line with the Building Our Future Together Agenda of the present administration”, the Governor added.
