Teachers in Ogun State have been called upon to consolidate teaching with instructional materials provided by the government to ensure quality education delivery.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary, Secondary and Technical Education, Mrs. Aderonke Soyombo, said this at the 2019 Annual State Conference of the Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Ogun State Chapter, held at Ilisan-Remo Area of the State.
Soyombo noted that it was necessary for Head teachers to undergo proper induction for optimal output and support the current administration in its quest to move the education sector forward.
Earlier in his remark, the Chairman, AOPSHON, Comrade Balogun Olatunji, appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for appointing seasoned professionals as key officers in the education sector, revealing that the purpose of the programme was to equip teachers for the task of improving the current standard of education in the state.
In the same vein, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary, Secondary and Technical Education, Mrs. Aderonke Soyombo, has advised students in public secondary schools across the State to face their studies and shun social vices that could truncate their future.
Soyombo who said this during an unscheduled visit to Ositelu Memorial College, Ogere Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of the State, added that, students should judiciously use their time as ‘’time waits for no man’’.
She assured that government would continue to contribute its quota by providing conducive environment for learning, urging teachers to justify the huge investments in the sector by instilling good morals in the pupils.
