Ogun APC Youths Warn Party Leaders On APM, PDP Stampede

Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Remo area of Ogun state yesterday sounded a note of warning to APC party leaders compromising the interest of the its faithful and loyal members for the interest of the oppositions in the state.

This warning was issued at a youth parley held at Sagamu, which had in attendance the party leaders and the youths of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Remo land.

In the address by the coordinator of the group, Adebayo Adetowubo described the parley as one held by the youths of the party in the area to address issues of members of opposition parties trying to buy their way into positions that should be held by loyal party members.

Adetowubo further said there were feelers showing some party leaders are compromising the interest of loyal party members for their selfish interest in the area.

A Councillor in the area, Remi Adenowo while thanking the party leaders for giving their listening ears urged the leaders to look into the matter affecting the Remo youths. He said the APC youths have suffered in the hands of opposition in the cause of the election that brought Prince Dapo Abiodun in as the governor of the state, and therefore deserve to hold the front seat in the cause of reward.

He berated the actions of some party leaders in the area alleged to be promoting opposing party members for positions meant for party loyalists, he condemned the act and declared such as selfish interests of the leaders.

One of the youths in the area, Adeeso Adedayo made a clarion call to the party leaders in Remo to ensure party members that worked assiduously for the party in the last election are duly rewarded and compensated with positions that will allow them empower and carry majority along. .

“We need our party leaders to help us make amendments. We are here to tell our leaders to look into the issue of opposition hijacking vital positions that ought to be given to party faithfuls. We have been attacked and victimized in the electioneering process, and right now, we don’t deserve anything other than reward for our loyalty and steadfastness.

“It is appalling persons that worked against us and victimised us in the last election are taking front seat in getting positions that ought to be held by us. We need our leaders to look into this time bomb before it explodes.” Adeeso added.

Reacting to their clamours, one of the APC Chieftains in the area and a one-time governorship aspirant of the party in Ogun State, Architect Owodunni Opayemi declared there is no place at the front seat for Allied Peoples Movement (APM), among other opposition members. He declared that the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun can never sacrifice the interest of its loyal party for any other persons. He said though the government is an all-inclusive one, but interest of loyal party members would be considered ahead of any other interest.
