Ogun LG Boss, Bolaji Odusanya Marks 2nd Year Anniversary, Showcases Community Projects

As part of efforts to ensure residents of Ijebu North Local government area of Ogun state have access to good facilities across the length and breath of the council area, the Executive Chairman, Hon. ‘Bolaji Oluwaseun Odusanya will be commissioning some projects on Thursday as part of activities to celebrate the second year in office.

The council Boss said the anniversary will be an opportunity to showcase the progress made so far and highlight the plans for the future. “We look forward to the success of this event and more achievements that will propel Ijebu North towards greater heights”

Addressing journalists at the Local Government Secretariat in Ijebu-Igbo, to herald the council boss’ second year in office, the chairman said his administration was focused on establishing good relationship with the private sector in creating a condusive environment for their businesses to thrive.

He said, “Permit me to tell the people of Ijebu North that you have sent us Assignment, and we are proud to deliver on the mandate given to us. We have been able to execute developmental projects in our various communities.

I want to thank our benefactor, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who finds us worthy to be saddled with the responsibility of leading Ijebu North Local Government at this particular time. Also, our gratitude to our political leaders.

Our 2 years in office have been eventful, though it has been challenging, but we thank God. We have a lot of projects to commission despite our financial constraints. We have done quite a lot to our credit.”

Hon. Odusanya enumerated some of the projects to be commissioned on Thursday as follows; A-block of two(2) classrooms with an office, a store, and two toilets at Naiwarudeen primary school, Ago-Iwoye and the newly renovated of the Local Government Abattoir at New Igan Road, Ijebu Igbo.

Also, A-Block of 20 Open Stalls at Ojowo-Atikori Markets, as well as renovated and conversion of A public Toilet from Pit to Water closet system will also be inaugurated.

The council Boss noted that the local council has put in place series of measures to prevent cultism and issue of insecurity disrupting social and commercial activities.

He stated further that a building, formerly known as Ijebu Igbo recreation club building, which was renovated by the present administration among others, will be commissioned.

Also part of the activities line up to commemorate the anniversary includes; Empowerment Programme and giving out awards in the following categories;

The anniversary event will feature the presentation of meritorious awards to distinguished personalities who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Ijebu North Local Government.
