The Labour Party, Ogun State chapter has described the loss of the former Presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku at the appeal court on Wednesday as a big mess and shame on him and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The party also berated Atiku’s spokesman, Mr Segun Showunmi, saying that his reaction to the supreme court judgement shows that his moral, political, intellectual and electoral deadness.
Recall that the appeal court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday thrown out the petition filed by the former PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenging Buhari victory at the apex court.
The chairman of the party in the state, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen On Thursday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
He said, ”We are here now , where they swore that we won’t be . We are waiting for the ground to shake . Every Judas has his appointed date and time with nemesis . This very conclusive defeat of PDP/ATIKU is expected by the majority who have not lost touch with reason.
”It is beginning to dawn on the political Merchants that in today’s Nigeria , elections can’t no more be won by endless manipulations , consistent treachery , crass opportunism , false confidence and unending pretense at monopoly of Intelligence including expertise at laid – back approach to politics are in the end , inevitably self – destructive .
”I want to congratulate APC and President Muhammadu Buhari on this historic landmark serial victories from the elections through the litigation up to the Supreme Court.
”Congratulations also to the voting public who rightfully , massively and needfully rejected PDP/ATIKU elections and consistently cohesively stood firmly with APC/PMB throughout the journey to the Supreme Court verdict. he concluded
He also described Segun Showunmi as shameless and loser.
”Why should people like Segun Sowunmi selfishly , arrogantly and shamelessly support wanting the return of the globally documented teasury thief to continue the 16 years of wicked , reckless and careless looting of the Commonwealth at the expense of the National well – being by trying to manipulate the barometer of public opinion and thus kill rational thinking in the Country.
”Now that their hopelessly hopeless hope has come to become their unintended Nemesis ,it is hoped that those Dubai trips of the dollar – sucking political vampires will drastically reduce.
” Segun Sowunmi and his ilks in the crowd of the gang of the commercial politicians pretending to appear politically correct to their politically dull “CASH – COW” , their source of unceasing free and cheap dollar claims , do always come up once in a while , like Segun Sowunmi did today to attempt futilely to confuse much more intelligent citizenry with his empty and unintelligent reaction to the world – class judgement of the Supreme Court on the avoidable , wasteful , desperate and unrealistic Presidential election litigation which had all along been drawing dollars into their greedy and criminal pocket”
Arabambi noted that President Buhari has won a deserved victory at the Supreme Court leaving Atiku to decide on whether he will yet add more distance to his current hide – out in Dubai or come back to the Country and share the beauty of good , responsible and truly progressive governance under the leadership of an incorruptible PMB .
”As it is now. It is the end of the road for all the mischievous political Merchants who are truly very much afraid of the possibility of revisit to their ugly looting past by the present Government that has zero tolerance for teasury theft”
It is on record that even the immediate past President’s family has tasted the pill of Karma over Treasury theft . The PMB led Government is now free of the avoidable and unnecessary distractions represented by the PDP,/ ATIKU long – drawn and over – dramatised litigation”
LP chairman therefore welcomed the Nation to a new positive dawn in good governance .
”President Buhari is the key to repositioning the Country and may God help him and his team . Segun Sowunmi misfired and made a mess of what pretence he has to integrity”
