Former local government political office holders between 2012 and 2015 in Ogun State have demanded for immediate payment of their 3.5billion naira deductions from the State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun before leaving office on May, 29, 2019.
The former political functionaries alleged that the money in question which was owed them since the Governor first term in office was allegedly diverted to an unknown account.
”We write to draw the attention of the well meaning Nigerians to the illegality, fraudulent practice and high-tech corruption under the Senator Ibikunle Amosun ‘s administration in the administration of local government political office holders entitlement between year 2012 to 2015”
They said that Amosun has thrown cautions into the wind, embraced brute, coercion, illegality and trampled on the laws of the State with impurities.
”The management of all government establishments are regulated by laws, these include, appointments, qualifications, renumerations to mention but a few. Unfortunately, the Ogun state government, led by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has failed to obey all the laws”
” When we noticed this, we cried and lobbied those who should act but unfortunately to no avail, including the state house of Assembly, State Party Chairman of ruling party, all living senators in Ogun State, all to no avail, Royal fathers, without missing the Legendary, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in well acknowledged appeal letters coupled with delegation visitations”
They therefore called on Femi Falana to help them retrieve their legal entitlements, which they said it has been illegally cornered by Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
”The State government are already served with pre- actions notice with the affected 20LGs in the state”
”We therefore, called on the relevant authorities to impress it on Senator Ibikunle Amosun to release our ₦3.5billion illegal deductions before he leaves.
