Robert Lacey, in his book Battle of Brothers, said the decision made by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to do business under their own royal trademark – “Sussex Royal” – forced Queen Elizabeth II to step down. This happens because the couple is doing it without your permission.

“But there are some issues on which Elizabeth II will not compromise – and chief among them is the Crown’s mandate. By revealing their plans to sell products under their own royal brand, Harry and Meghan are jeopardizing that mandate. To doing the crown business requires crown approval – and the Sussexes are not looking for that,” he continued.
