The Ogun-East Senator-Elect, Senator Lekan Mustapha has urged Muslims to be tolerant in this holy month of Ramadan, and seek peace and redress for our country – Nigeria.
In his greetings message, Sen Lekan Mustapha prayed that “this auspicious month would be the harbinger of peace and prosperity for the good people of Ogun State and Nigeria”.
He said Ramadan provides a chance to seek forgiveness from Allah adding that the month long fasts and special prayers purifies souls against all sins.
Senator Lekan Mustapha said the peace, love and harmony that good citizens seek for Nigeria, should top the list of prayers points in the holy period.
He charged all Muslims to keep the month holy, and remember it as a time of steadfastness, holiness and cleanliness.
Mustapha appealed to the people, both Muslims and Non-Muslims to contribute in a big way towards the upkeep and welfare of orphans, widows, destitute and poorest of the poor sections of the society.
He urged Muslims and non-Muslims not to relent in extending love and care to the less privileged as parts of duties to the society.
