RE: “Ijebu East Local Government: Eke ni oju maa ti”
“Disclaimer to Hon. Deko Onamusi's Press Release “

Preamble
Our attention has been drawn to a recent press release by Hon. Deko Onamusi, a former member of the House of Representatives and a purported member of the hitherto unknown “Ogun East Assembly” regarding Ijebu East Local Government and the political dynamics within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State.
We find it necessary to issue this disclaimer to clarify the misleading and self-serving claims contained in his statement, which do not reflect the true state of affairs in Ijebu East Local Government or the APC.
Lack of Authority and Pedigree
Hon. Deko Onamusi lacks the requisite authority and pedigree to speak on behalf of Ijebu East Local Government APC. He is not one of our major leaders at the LG or state levels. He has no control over his ward, Ijebu Itele aWard 7, let alone the entire local government. His assertions are, therefore, baseless and should be disregarded by discerning people. Co as coming from agent provocateur.
No Rancor Between Senator Yayi and Governor Dapo Abiodun
Contrary to the insinuations in Hon. Onamusi’s statement, there is no animosity or conflict between Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi, the distinguished Senator representing Ogun West, and His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON), the Governor of Ogun State. Both leaders are committed to the progress of Ogun State and are working within the APC. Senator Yayi is focused on delivering the dividends of democracy for his constituents in Ogun West, while Governor Abiodun continues to execute his legacy projects across the state, including Ijebu East.
Hon. Deko Onamusi is an insatiable opportunist working with known disruptive elements outside the party. There is nowhere in Ijebu East where supporters of Senator Yayi are being persecuted for supporting him and we challenge Hon. Deko Onamusi to mention just one case. His actions and statements reek of opportunism. Recently , the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiidun gave him a slot on the Ogun State park and garages, which he gave to one of his few supporters from Ajebandele Ward, who by then was not even an active member of our party. Added to this at the LG was the position of Secretary to the LG (SLG), which he got by false pretense. So, where is the persecution? Or does persecution now has another meaning?
Ijebu East’s Support for Governor Abiodun
We the core members of APC in Ijebu East LG firmly believe in the leadership of H.E. Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON) and his transformative legacy projects. We remain steadfast in our support for the Governor and his administration. Senator Yayi, on his part, is diligently serving the people of Ogun West and has not interfered in the affairs of Ijebu East. He has maintained that for now, his work at the National Assembly remains his preoccupation.
Conclusion
We urge the people, including Senator Yayi, to be wary of Hon. Deko Onamusi’s jeun jeun parasitic antics. His attempts to sow the seed of discord and create unnecessary tension within the APC are too familiar and unacceptable. We know he will soon leave the party. He is not known to work for his party on election day and he is even boastful about it. He keeps deluding himself that “We have the figures” to scam unsuspecting aspirants, but we challenge him to mention just two leaders in our LG that are with him. He is not even in control of his Ijebu-Itele ward seven, where he has never won an election in his polling unit until after joining the APC.
We say “Buyers Beware”!
