Hon. Adeniyi Saliu, the Executive Chairman, Eredo Local Council Development Area, has extended his warmest wishes to all Muslim Faithfuls in Eredo Council Area, Lagos State and Nigeria, as they commence the Holy Month of Ramadan fast; the month adjudged the most precious in the Muslim Calendar.
“As Muslims all over the world commence the obligatory Ramadan fast, I enjoin faithfuls in Eredo Local Council Development Area, to use this special period to pray for the progress of the Council Area, the State and Nation at large.
Let us use this month as prescribed to draw closer to Almighty Allah, seek forgiveness for our transgressions, lend a hand of fellowship to others and show kindness.
May Allah (S.W.T) accept our deeds as an act of Ibadah,” Saliu quoted.
The new crescent which signals the lunar month of Ramadan was sighted on Sunday night at various places across the world.
