Queen Consort Camilla’s first husband Andrew Parker Bowles will reportedly attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles which is scheduled to be held on May 6. The pair have been married for 22 years and have two grown-up children , as well as five grandchildren. The 83-year-old will witness his ex-wife’s coronation at Westminster Abbey.
Former Tory minister Nadine Dorries said she was “overwhelmed” when she read Andrew would be attending the ceremony, the Daily Mail reported. Paying tribute to the former couple, she said an ex-husband “will always be a part of her life”, adding that Andrew attending the historic event would be a “proud moment”.
Andrew “will ring and tell him when he has something wrong” and in return Camilla will ring him and say “tell him to behave,” the MP said, adding, ” Many years have passed since they were separated. Separately, Camilla and Andrew have set a good example not only for their children, but for the whole country. “
The minister also said that they have “shown that it is possible to live in a relationship after divorce”, saying, “Nothing will make that point more visible than for Andrew to be at the Coronation, bursting with pride .”
Three of the former couple’s grandchildren will play an important role in the celebration.
