Three students from India killed in road accident in USA | World news

In a major incident, three students from India died in a road accident after the car they were traveling in collided with another car in western Massachusetts.

Prem Kumar Reddy Goda, 27, Pavani Gullapally 22 and Sai Narasimha Patamsetti 22, died at the scene of the accident, the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement Thursday.

Massachusetts state and local police are investigating a two-car crash that killed the three students and sent five other people to the hospital.

At about 5:30 in the morning, a car going north and a car going south collided. Four other people in the car, Manoj Reddy Donda, 23, Sridhar Reddy Chinthakunta, 22, Vijith Reddy Gummala, 23, and Hima Ishwarya Siddireddy, 22, were taken to Berkshire Medical Center for treatment.

Law enforcement authorities identified the occupants of the vehicle as international college students, six studying at the University of New Haven and one at Sacred Heart University.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle, 46-year-old Armando Bautista-Cruz, were taken to Fairview Medical Center for treatment.

The State Police Detective Division notified the family members and/or representatives of the perpetrators and the Consulate General of India, New York.

The Sheffield Police Department and the State Police Detective Division assigned to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the circumstances of the accident and ask that anyone with information contact authorities. PTI YAS RUP RUP RUP
