Chinese President Xi Jinping promised to further strengthen the armed forces, and increase its technology, technology and strategic strength in the opening session of the 20 Chinese Communist Party’s Congress on Sunday, adding that the party’s control over the armed forces will be together in order to ensure that the host is always consistent with the party.

Efforts to modernize the People’s Liberation Army must continue so that it can effectively protect the country’s government, security and national development interests, Xi Jinping said.
Declaring that China’s global power has increased, Xi Jinping warned of “dangerous storms” ahead.
“China’s international influence, appeal and ability to shape the world has increased significantly,” he said. China must be prepared for “strong winds and high waves and even dangerous storms,” he added.
“Faced with major changes in the global landscape, we have maintained a firm strategic resolve and demonstrated a fighting spirit. In all these roles, we have safeguarded China’s dignity and vital interests and kept ourselves in a good position for pursuing development and ensuring security,” Xi Jinping said.
On the national security system, Xi Jinping said that China must modernize it in order to protect social stability.
“We must systematically implement the comprehensive national security plan, maintain national security throughout all aspects of the work of the party and the state to ensure national security and social stability,” he said.
