1600 flight cancellations across the US, three airports near NYC most affected World news

Americans faced major issues in traveling across the country as hurricanes and adverse weather conditions led to flight cancellations and delays on Sunday. According to FlightAware, the three major airports operating in New York City, namely Newark Liberty International, John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia Airport are the most affected. More than 1600 flights have been canceled across the US.
Newark Liberty International reported the highest number of flight cancellations in the US on Sunday. The problems faced by the travelers are not limited to the airlines only rather they encounter issues in getting their luggage too.
A plan from Chicago for the New York Post Dozens of passengers waited for more than two hours to get their luggage in Newark. The passenger said that only a third of the passengers in the vehicle received their luggage while it seems that the luggage of the others was not there.
John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia Airports ranked second and third respectively in the country for the highest number of flight cancellations.
Most counties in New York receive between one and three inches of rain on average. While some places saw as much as five inches of rain by night. New York Governor Kathy Hochul said the rain and subsequent flooding killed one person and caused about $50 million in damage.
