Officer Woos Denies Announcing Broda Shaggy’s Death

Nigerian content creator Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi, popularly known as Officer Woos, has dismissed reports claiming that he announced the death of his colleague and close associate, Broda Shaggi.
The controversy began after an X user, @Ghost91on, shared a post alleging that Officer Woos had broken the news of Broda Shaggi’s death through his Instagram page.
The blogger wrote alongside a picture of the comedian: “Officer woos just announced the passed away of his brother broda shaggi vis his ig page. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
Responding to the claim, Officer Woos reposted a screenshot of the viral message on his Instagram story and described it as “false.”
His legal representatives, Versed Attorneys, also issued a statement denying the reports and accusing those behind them of spreading false information.
“We act as Solicitors to Mr. Jubril bril Oladapo Gbadamosi alias “Officer Woos” (“our Client”), a respected content creator and public figure, and write this statement in response to false and malicious publications currently circulating on social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter).
“It has come to Client’s attention that certain unverified and anonymous social media pages have published claim alleging that our Client publicly announced the death of a close colleague on his official page.
“Our client has never announced the death of any colleague, friend, or associate on any of his platforms. These publications are entirely manufactured and constitute a deliberate attempt to misinform the public”, it said.
The statement further warned that legal action could be taken against those responsible for originating and spreading the claims.
Speculation surrounding Broda Shaggi’s death surfaced months after the comedian was reportedly shot while filming at the Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March 2026.
Since the incident, Broda Shaggi has not publicly commented on the alleged shooting.
