The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA, on Saturday joined Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, member of the House of Representatives representing Imeko-Afon/Yewa North Federal Constituency, at the 2026 edition of the Imeko Agbinrekoti Day celebration in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area.
Senator Adeola attended the cultural festival as hosted by the traditional ruler, HRH Oba Benjamin Alabi Olanite (Akanku IV), the Onimeko of Imeko, Prince Isiaka, distinguished sons and daughters of Imeko-Afon, community leaders and other invited guests.
Speaking at the event, Adeola reaffirmed his commitment to the continued development and progress of Imeko-Afon, describing Imeko as a community very dear to him. He expressed appreciation for the warmth, support and goodwill he continues to receive from the traditional institution and the people of the local government.
Adeola specially acknowledged Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka for his sustained efforts in the development of Yewaland. He commended Isiaka’s contribution to the cause of ensuring that Ogun West produces the governor of Ogun State come 2027, and appreciated his decision to rally all support for his gubernatorial aspiration.
He also acknowledged Hon. Bodegan Osirisankan for his magnanimity, steadfastness and continued support.
Adeola highlighted some of the projects, programmes and interventions he has facilitated for communities across Imeko-Afon, assuring residents that his resolve to support initiatives that improve their welfare remains unwavering.
The Senator called on sons and daughters of Imeko-Afon, both at home and in the Diaspora, to continue working together for the progress of their communities, Ogun State and Yorubaland.
Adeola further expressed deep appreciation to Oba Olanite following the monarch’s declaration of support for his governorship aspiration ahead of the 2027 election, saying he was humbled by the confidence reposed in him.
He thanked the monarch and the entire Imeko community for the warm reception, while reiterating his commitment to service and the sustained development of Imeko-Afon and Ogun State.
