Gateway Fashion Festival Teams Up With Wosam, Launches ₦5M Grant, ₦1M Pageant Prize for GFF 2026
The collaboration comes as Gateway Fashion Festival marks six years and Wosam Hotel celebrates its fifth anniversary, with registration open for fashion entrepreneurs and aspiring pageant queens.
A ₦5 million fashion grant opportunity and a ₦1 million cash prize for the winner of Miss Gateway headline the 2026 edition of Gateway Fashion Festival (GFF), as the festival seals a partnership with Wosam Hotel ahead of its forthcoming event in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
The partnership was affirmed at a meeting between the Gateway Fashion Festival team and Wosam Hotel management on Wednesday, 14 October, as both organisations prepared for the festival scheduled for 30 November to 4 December 2026 at Wosam Hotel, Ago Iwoye. The collaboration comes as Gateway Fashion Festival marks its sixth anniversary and Wosam Hotel celebrates five years of operations.
Established in 2021, Gateway Fashion Festival is a platform for fashion shows, pageantry and awards, with a focus on talent development, entrepreneurship and recognition. Its 2026 edition seeks to connect creative talent with practical opportunities for visibility, professional development and business growth.
The Convener of Gateway Fashion Festival, Mrs Maraiyesa Ayokunle Egwunyenga, said the partnership and this year’s programme reflect the festival’s commitment to making creative platforms more valuable to participants.
“As Gateway Fashion Festival marks six years, we want to build on our journey by creating opportunities that go beyond the runway. Our partnership with Wosam Hotel strengthens our platform and gives us an opportunity to bring fashion, pageantry and enterprise together in a more impactful way. We want designers to grow their businesses, aspiring models to pursue their ambitions and every participant to see the festival as a place where meaningful opportunities can begin.”
₦5 MILLION GRANT OPPORTUNITY FOR FASHION ENTREPRENEURS
Fashion entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to showcase their collections at GFF 2026, with a ₦5 million grant opportunity available to participating designers under the festival’s fashion enterprise initiative.
The initiative seeks to support the growth of fashion businesses by drawing attention to the commercial potential of design and creativity. Participating entrepreneurs will have a platform to present their collections, promote their brands and connect with industry stakeholders and potential supporters.
Registration remains open to interested fashion entrepreneurs, who are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their work at the festival.
₦1 MILLION PRIZE AND FACE OF WOSAM TITLE FOR MISS GATEWAY
The Miss Gateway pageant offers its winner a ₦1 million cash prize and the title of Face of Wosam Hotel.
The competition is designed to give aspiring models a platform to build confidence, strengthen their public profiles and pursue opportunities in pageantry and the wider creative industry. Eligible applicants do not need previous pageantry experience to register.
The Face of Wosam title further connects the pageant to the partnership, giving the winner an additional platform for visibility and representation.
Speaking on behalf of Wosam Hotel, Mrs Faderera Ajibulu, Assistant General Manager, said the collaboration reflects the value of initiatives that bring businesses and creative talent together.
“As Wosam Hotel celebrates five years, this partnership with Gateway Fashion Festival presents an opportunity to support creativity, recognise talent and create memorable experiences for participants and guests. We look forward to welcoming the fashion community and other stakeholders to Wosam Hotel for a festival that brings together fashion, enterprise and hospitality.”
Beyond the fashion showcases and pageant, GFF 2026 will feature awards recognising excellence and contributions across relevant sectors. The programme will also include the ICSS masterclass in partnership with Ijebu Business School, extending the festival’s focus to professional development and capacity building.
The festival team comprises Mrs Maraiyesa Ayokunle Egwunyenga, Event Convener; Mr Olaitan Olumide, Team Lead, Ijebu Business School and Partner for the ICSS Masterclass; Mrs Muinat Ayinke, Team Lead, Fashion and Pageantry; and Miss Maraiyesa Ayobami, Team Lead, Awards.
