“I wish to state categorically that I have not withdrawn from the race, and I have no intention of doing so. The reports suggesting otherwise are false and should be disregarded.

“My aspiration remains firm, and I am fully committed to pursuing justice through the lawful process. I have unwavering confidence in the judiciary and firmly believe that the facts of the case and the applicable laws will speak for themselves,” Hunye said.

The governorship aspirant maintained that his decision to seek judicial intervention was a legitimate effort to obtain justice over the circumstances surrounding the party’s primary election.

He stressed that he would not be distracted by speculation or misinformation, adding that his confidence in the judicial process remained unshaken.

Hunye also called on his supporters to remain calm, steadfast and law-abiding while the legal proceedings continue.

“I urge our supporters and well-wishers not to be discouraged by false reports or deliberate attempts to create confusion. We remain resolute, hopeful and confident that justice will prevail.

“Our position has not changed. We will continue to follow due process and allow the court to determine the matter in accordance with the law,” he added.

He urged members of the public to rely on verified information and official communications rather than unsubstantiated claims circulating on social media.

Hunye reaffirmed his commitment to his political aspiration, expressing confidence that the judicial process would provide an opportunity for the issues in dispute to be determined fairly.
