So-Safe Corps Committed To Combating Crime, Says Zonal Commander

The Ogun State Community and Social Orientation Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps), formally known as Vigilante Services is committed to combating crime to the barest minimum in Ijebu-Ode and its environs.

The Ijebu Zonal Commander, So Safe Corps, Mr. Marcus Ayankoya, stated this while fielding questions with journalists in Ijebu Ode, noting that the Command had intensified its efforts by training and retraining of Officers, in order to achieve the objectives of combating crime, thereby reducing the menace.

“We are indigenes of the State and we will not allow our people to suffer for this reason.  We have put it upon ourselves to do our best at reducing crime in the society”, he pledged.

The Zonal Commander explained that Officers were being trained from time to time, which had helped them in the discharge of their duties, adding that they were fully prepared for the up-coming Ojude Oba Festival and would beef up security, during and after the festival.

He implored government to come to their aid in terms of logistics to enable them carry out their duties effectively, maintaining that there is enough manpower but the corps is lacking in mobility for patrol purposes.
