Residents Applaud OGSG On Ijebu-Ode Road Projects

The people of Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State have applauded the State government for the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads in the area.

Giving the commendation in separate interviews, the people noted that the roads, on completion would allow for easy flow of traffic, with farmers and traders bringing their farm produce and goods easily to the markets, while the Council would experience more development.

 Mr. Taiwo Akinpelu in his submission, described the road rehabilitation as timely, especially the Igbeba road, saying, “I have been living in Ijebu-Ode for the past 20 years and I am of the opinion that an expansion and reconstruction of road projects like this would improve economic activities, not only in this area, but in the entire Ijebu region”.

Another resident, Mr. David Adenaya, a Farmer from Olisa area of the Council, expressed gratitude to the State government for the ongoing construction  of Oke Aje market road, noting that the ongoing road projects would serve massive boost for the farmers, ‘’as life would be more comfortable for us in bringing our farm produce to the markets’’.

Mr. Kunle Sanusi, a commercial driver said, ‘’the State Government has done well with the ongoing road repairs. We are relief because we can now put our vehicles on the road without worrying about visiting the mechanics on regular basis.’’

The roads currently undergoing reconstruction and rehabilitation are; Olisa, Italapo, Igbeba, Oke Aje Axis roads, Balogun Kuku and Degun Streets.
