Ogun Assembly Minority Whip, Akingbade Sinks 12 Boreholes At Imeko
As part of efforts at combating water borne diseases and ensuring that people have access to portable water, the Legislator representing Imeko/Afon State Constituency, Hon. Jemili Akingbade, has sunk 12 motorised boreholes and repaired three existing ones.
Hon. Akingbade, who is also the Minority Whip of the Ogun State House of Assembly revealed this at the thanksgiving service and reception held in his honour at Owode -Afon in Imeko/Afon Local Government Area of the State.
He explained that the sinking of the boreholes was a way of giving back to the communities and provision of clean water would prevent water borne diseases, as well as infections, appreciating the people of his constituency for their support and prayers.
Some of the communities that benefitted from the boreholes included; Iwoye, Okuta, Moriwi, Falola Babalawo, Gada, Araromi, Ogunte, Oloro-Akinwale and Areji, while repairs are currently ongoing in other zones across the constituency.
In their separate goodwill messages, representatives of the zones, Alhaji Bariyu Roheem, Alhaji Ramoni Alao and Alhaji Yekini Kehinde appreciated Hon. Akingbade for his kind gesture, pledging their unflinching support for the present administration in the State.
